The new school year has started and some parents are already having to keep track of where those library books their children bring home from school disappear too. Why?
Simple, they don’t want to pay the ridiculous late fees that come with it. Recently my own daughter ended up bringing home a note that told us she’d missed two library days because she hadn’t returned her book. Funny thing was we had no clue. Oprah, to me, has always been a light and an inspiration…but now she’s just off the charts, in my opinion.
Last night I watched her special on the opening of The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy For Girls.
Gosh, I’ve been following Oprah’s career and her interests since back in the Phil Donahue days of daytime tv.
She probably doesn’t know it but I was sending her books and press releases to her when I worked at Random House, and she worked at WLS TV in Chicago.
