I struggled with whether to post this glimpse of Scott Terrill’s life. I would hate for his family to think that I’m sensationalizing this whole ordeal and the pain that this family is going through, as a result. However, my heart feels the need to shed light on this subject as an example of what the feeling of hopelessness can lead to and the portrayal of people on reality television shows. I wanted to announce the winner of the Book Of Virtues for Young People, on Friday, but it was my Grandpa’s birthday and I really needed to go visit his grave and get some peace. Good morning! Please indulge me a few minutes of your Sunday so that I might shed light on a topic that our society has forgotten. The topic is compassion. It seems as though we have become so focused on bettering ourselves and speeding down life’s highway toward success and wealth, that we have left compassion sitting on the side of the road, choking on our capitalistic exhaust fumes and self indulgent dust.
