Book of the Week: Lifebooks
I purchased LifeBooks : Creating a Treasure for the Adopted Child with the best intentions in mind. I also purchased a fabulous scrapbook, all the supplies under the planet (scissors, special “travel” paper and all occasion paper, stickers, pens, an organizer for all my supplies, glue and tape, etc) but I never did anything with them.
25 Things to do while you wait…
The hardest part of adopting a child from another country is being able to meet your child and then having to say goodbye. Your brain knows that you have to do it but your heart feels like it catapulted down to your stomach and started doing cartwheels the moment you handed your child back. How could this be natural part of having children?
