Blooming in June was the focus of the b5 Lifestyles Channel theme day, hosted by Linette Gerlach’s Mother Earth’s Garden blog.  With everyone mentioning blooming, flowers, cooking, or expanding your talents, the blogs have a great deal to offer for broadening your horizons this summer.

Quilting and Patchwork participated with Bloom Where You Are in Your Quilting World.  My other Lifestyles blog, One Book Two Book, provided Have Fun With a Nature Station by co-blogger Karen Weideman.

What ideas do you have for June in bloom?  Weddings, graduations, and other celebrations?  Planting gardens?  Flowers to cheer one up, for remembrance, for color in a room? And blooming in your quilting world.

Where do you blog?  Why do you blog?

Lifestyles bloggers, including Quilting and Patchwork, share their experiences and give you insignt into their lives and blogging habits during Theme Day on the Channel.  Some blog in unusual places, others show us photos of their offices or blogging areas, and some tackle it in a very organized way.

I blog wherever and whenever I can…as long as I can set up my laptop or get the desktop from my hubby.  I also share some office space with my husband.  You also may find me blogging at the dining table.  Perhaps I’ll blog in the bedroom or on the deck if it’s a pleasant day.

When we travel, I take my laptop along and blog in airports and motel rooms.  I also can plug my laptop into a converter as we drive.

This also is the way I write my weekly newspaper columns and whittle away at my books.

Lifestyles Bloggers (including Quilting & Patchwork) Share Blogging Experiences

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the b5media Lifestyles Channel participated in their own little carnival, hearts and flowers, hugs and kisses…

However, because of nasty weather and the recent server outage at b5media, some of the channel wasn’t able to participate in our original Channel Theme Day. But when it comes to something like Valentine’s Day, the most recognized day of love, our Channel Editor, Gayla McCord, just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have everyone join in.  So she put together another round-up with ideas from all the bloggers.

Here at  Quilting and Patchwork, I shared my post containing  seven ideas for Valentine’s Day cards, gifts, and activities that quilters can use to make this a special occasion.
