Consumer Reports on Light Ice Creams

As a big fan of good light ice cream, I was excited to learn that the July issue of Consumer Reports contains a light ice cream challenge.
A team of trained taste testers compared the light versions of several brands to the regular versions. Overall, Consumer Reports found that the better-for-you versions are “quite tasty.” They even thought that the low-fat Häagen-Dazs Coffee was somewhat better than the regular version! Other brands tested include Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food, Edy’s/Dreyer’s Grand Mint Chocolate Chip and Breyers All Natural Butter Pecan.
