New Design Blog Worth Visiting – ChicTip.com

Yesterday we had a guest post. If you follow this blog, you’ll know that I don’t have many guest posts here. In fact, I think we’ve had just two in the last year and a half, and they were super good blogger pals of mine. I’m picky when it comes to Offbeat.
That said, I was recently offered a guest post from the bloggers over at the newer, but cool ChicTip.com. I like the blog, I like the bloggers, and I like when good new design blogs emerge, hence, a guest post from them. Also, I like their about page, which …read more

Structural Link Love

I haven’t given any link love in ages. What’s so fly you won’t want to miss it; well…
Munetsugu Hall is so slick, you will faint. I love this concert hall, and you will too. Via The Cool Hunter – Architecture.
MoCo Loco has a wonderful link, Arkitektfirmaet C. F. Møller’s Summerhouse in Kandestederne, which I guess would make this double the link love. Seriously though, the Summerhouse is breathtaking.
Modern Sky Hill Townhomes in Atlanta are showcased at Jetson Green. I’m not a townhouse fan exactly, but I like how these look – unique and green. Here’s a taste:

Inhabitat launching a new blog!

If you’ve been reading Offbeat Homes for any decent amount of time, you’ll note that I have many favorite architect and design blogs. I tend to talk about and link to my faves pretty incessantly. One such blog is Inhabitat. I’ve been a huge fan of Inhabitat for a long time, and I know some of you are as well.
Well the news is that they’ve just launched a brand new blog! and there’s more…

Prettiest. Cob. House. Ever.

Hands down, no contest, this little house is so darn pretty. If I sat around all day thinking up dream exteriors, this would come close to perfect.

What do you think? So darn cute, no? I love it. It was so smoothly done too. I’ve seen some pretty cool designs on houses, but not as slick as this.
This is via Treehugger – Cob Building – Go Ahead, Call It a Comeback. There are no other pics of this delightful home, which usually means I wouldn’t have shown it here. However, in this case, I’m in deep admiration, so I’m showing it …read more

Leftover Link Love

Tonight some leftover but still pretty fresh links. Weeks ago I started a link love post, and realized that I had too many links, so I set a few aside for another time. Then I promptly forgot all about said links. Going through my bookmarks today, and guess what I found? The links. These are some links I adore, that should have been shown off sooner. Way sooner. Ah well.
Pacific Northwest Regional Architecture – this is a killer link if you happen to love PNW homes and designs. I spent a lot of time here looking around. They have some …read more

What’s Outside Your Window?

The Lifestyles Channel had a promo this week – A Window With a View. I took a little promo break. Last months promo kicked my butt work-wise, and so I did not participate in this posting event. However, I think you might like what everyone else around the channel did, so take a peek…
Gayla shared a beautiful sunset in rural Indiana as it rests on full display behind the farm across the road on MomGadget. She notes that it’s “One of my favorite parts of living in the country.”
