End Of April 2009 Food Links

That said, I was recently offered a guest post from the bloggers over at the newer, but cool ChicTip.com. I like the blog, I like the bloggers, and I like when good new design blogs emerge, hence, a guest post from them. Also, I like their about page, which notes, “We feature stores, products, artists, reviews, sales, contests announcements, trends-in-the-make and more. Because this isn’t just a blog, it’s a community – for designers seeking inspiration, and for amateur design enthusiasts. This is a place where we can all come together, sharing our ideas, tips, and questions with like-minded people.” Which is totally my thinking about blogs – open, friendly, old-school community, and not snobby at all. Very nice.

MoCo Loco has a wonderful link, Arkitektfirmaet C. F. Møller’s Summerhouse in Kandestederne, which I guess would make this double the link love. Seriously though, the Summerhouse is breathtaking.

Modern Sky Hill Townhomes in Atlanta are showcased at Jetson Green. I’m not a townhouse fan exactly, but I like how these look – unique and green. Here’s a taste:

Inhabitat launching a new blog!

What do you think? So darn cute, no? I love it. It was so smoothly done too. I’ve seen some pretty cool designs on houses, but not as slick as this.

This is via Treehugger – Cob Building – Go Ahead, Call It a Comeback. There are no other pics of this delightful home, which usually means I wouldn’t have shown it here. Prettiest. Cob. House. Ever.

Pacific Northwest Regional Architecture – this is a killer link if you happen to love PNW homes and designs. I spent a lot of time here looking around. They have some amazing houses posted. This blog is a dream come true; a great mix of classic and new PNW architecture, and a smattering of reader sent photos of things like tree houses and garden projects. I highly recommend a visit. I don’t have a favorite post because I really enjoy the whole site. I think though, since I rarely show commercial buildings, I’ll give you a taste of this blog with this gas station shot:

Lastly an odd, but very cool site. I’m not sure what it is exactly this company does; not entirely anyhow. They appear to be a design co, working with clients all over the world. That’s important, but not why you need to visit this website. You should visit because I’m convinced that I can’t be the only person on the planet to get lost at this site for a while. Their pencil is a little intoxicating. I’m serious. Visit and see.

Leftover Link Love

Gayla shared a beautiful sunset in rural Indiana as it rests on full display behind the farm across the road on MomGadget. She notes that it’s “One of my favorite parts of living in the country.”

Mary Emma Allen at One Book Two Book shares a view from her window that entertains and delights her grandchildren.

Also at One Book Two Book, Karen shares the sweetest view of her kids playing on the deck and how the two youngsters deal with the heat. I’m thinking they’ve got the right idea!

Linette, one of our resident super bloggers is sharing views on three blogs. The first is a beautiful view of her back yard that she’s sharing on She Knows Parties – it looks inviting – the only thing missing is my lawn chair and a cold iced tea. Next, on Robust Cooking she shares a photo of her window herb garden – solid proof that she takes her cooking very seriously. Last, on Mother Earth’s Garden she shares a beautiful view from her front porch. Truly an images that makes you feel right at home.

Mary Emma Allen, at Quilting and Patchwork, tells us how she was influenced by her mothers’ view from a kitchen window, as well as suggesting views for quilters.

Marye at Baking Delights shares details of some of her favorite views throughout time and from some of her favorite windows in her massive farmhouse where she lives now. Check out the veggie garden she has in her front yard.

Susan at Play Library shares a view from her car window as she and her husband go out to dinner for their anniversary. Susan happens to live close by Disney World and is doing a fine job at making me jealous.

Trench – our resident Superhero on who spends his time tracking down crime both on the internet at My Crime Space and crimes of passion in the real world at Psycho for Love shares a figurative view of what life looks like from his windows.

Marcie at A Child Chosen shares a glimpse through the “types” of windows in her life as an international adoptive mother and more.

Peggy at Junk Creation shares an adorable image of Goslings on Parade as they waddle their way by Peggy’s window.

Our newest Lifestyles member Rachel comes on board her first channel carnival with an adorable detailed view of her new window with her fur baby, Louie. Stop over and say hello at Drinks After Dark.
