So far, I’m calling it a success.

Within this year I have attracted the simplest things like mystical pants to the big things like a home custom-made for me at an unheard of price, wonderful friends and magical money.

I know this sounds unbelievable, but after I started repeating Money comes easily and frequently to myself instead of we can’t afford it my husband found an uncashed check for $500 in some old papers. It was over 6 months old so the company issued a new check. I pasted that check on my dream board with the words Evidence that Money Comes Easily and Frequentlyon it. Then on Christmas Eve I opened the mailbox and found a letter from the same company, referring to the same check, stating that their records indicate that we never cashed the check and they are sending us a new one. That’s a $500 check that pays 3 times! I almost can’t quite believe it.

I attracted a Law of Attraction Action Pack through a contest I never entered. Seriously. Then, not only did he send me this great program to help me make The Law of Attraction more effective, he made me an affiliate.

Last year when I first heard about The Law of Attraction I was hesitant to use it. Sceptical.

Then I realized I was unhappy anyway and had nothing to lose by trying something different. If it didn’t work I was still broke, living in a tiny house, sick with allergies and depression, surrounded by people who didn’t like or appreciate me, trapped in my work or stay-at-home mothering predicament and fighting with my spouse. In other words – my life sucked so I could afford to try something that sounded too crazy to be true.

Since experimenting with the concept that I am creating my own reality with my own thoughts I am learning to free myself. Free myself from the past, from poor health choices, from negative relationships, from restrictive ideas about what I’m allowed to have or achieve or who I get to be.

I freed myself from smoking and a lifelong dependence on anti-depressants and inactivity. Today I’m a non-smoker who exercises most days and I can’t imagine how I ever expected anti-depressants to truly help me.

The Law of Attraction Action Pack shed new light on concepts I’d already learned but never understood or took literally in my religious life. Like ask and you shall receive.

Best of all it’s teaching me how to dream again. I’m learning that I don’t have to give up any of my dreams because it seems impossible or because people say it’s competitive.

I love that there is enough of everything from love to money to go around. I’m also learning how to be kind to myself and expect kindness from others.

If you want to change something about your life – and who doesn’t this time of year? The Law of Attraction Action Pack is a great tool. It’s a simple 7 day program that will show you how to manifest a life you love.

You’ll learn how to:

Figure out what you want and focus on it.

Get rid of hang ups that are holding you back.

Use visual props, like a dream board, to help focus.

Learn to effectively meditate.

Rewrite the tapes you play over and over in your head.

Take action to get what you want.

Recognize success when it’s knocking at your door.

Realize a manifestation when you see it.

Focus on gratitude and what it does in your life.

Learn that you can always afford to give generously.

Feel powerful over your own life.

You also get an audio recording of The Science of Getting Rich: Attracting Financial Success through Creative Thought, which sparked the making of The Secret is also included. The Science of Getting Rich very succinctly and logically explains why acquiring money and wealth is a positive thing rather than a negative thing to do.

Maybe, like me, you have nothing to lose by trying The Law of Attraction Action Pack.

In 2008 give yourself the gift of feeling powerful in your own life.

Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. You need to tag 7 others and list their names on your blog. Remember to leave a comment for them letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog.

1. I was raised a Mormon Military Brat. We moved a lot, as a result I could pick up and go at any second. For a job or out of boredom I have sold everything I owed to relocate as an adult four times already. I am only 33-years-old.
2. I am a journalist by profession. I resent my previous employers for not allowing me to work from home when I became a mother. I am a writer and since the invention of e-mail there is really no reason to make me come to the newsroom 40 hrs a week. I think it’s “motherism” as my employer allowed a man to work out of his home but denied my request. I’ve not found my female employers any more supportive of working from home than my male bosses. But, I do resent them more.
3. I got married when I was 17-years-old. That was a stupid thing to do. I totally believe in divorce and thank God every day that by 19 I was smart enough not to make my childish mistake a permanent one. I didn’t marry again until 27.
4. After my child-bride experience I found that I was unwilling to change my name back to my father’s name and unwilling to keep my ex-husband’s name and unwilling to take any future husband’s name. I went to court and dropped all the last names that made my identity relational to the men in my life. I decided to have an identity that did not change with my marital status. My given name at birth was Tracee Sue and I thought Sioux would look better in print – well, I AM a writer so it DOES matter how marketable my name is. I was only 19 when I divorced so it seemed inevitable that I would eventually get married and have kids again. But, it did not seam reasonable at all to change my identity in any way, including my last name. So, I am Tracee Sioux. Legally now and forever. It is not a nom deplum – Sioux is my legal last name and it is who I am.
5. I witnessed 9-11 when I was 8 months pregnant with my first child. I was on my way to work. What strikes me now about the experience is that as a reporter my first instinct was to buy a disposable camera and report on it. I got a shot of the second plane hitting the building. I wasn’t close enough for anyone to buy the shot. The second thing that sticks with me is how worried I was that I was going to be late for work and how my boss might be annoyed with me – as if for the first few hours the shock was so complete that I didn’t understand the magnitude at all and went about my normal business like buying a chocolate donut.
6. I went to Lithuania after college to teach English, I wanted to travel and had been a political science major with an interest in the breakdown of the Soviet Union. Lithuania was a brand new democracy.
7. I’m grateful beyond belief for my current opportunity to work from home blogging. I feel like this is a “calling” for me. I’m pretty intensely spiritual about my So Sioux Me website and my work at b5media writing BlogFabulous to empower people and especially women. It’s my path, my personal legend, my way of being part of the soul of the world, my way to affect the collective consciousness.

So I’m tagging Therapydoc at Everyone Needs Therapy, Steve at Inside Fatherhood, Karen at Thrifty Mommy, Cory and Kerri at Marriage Actually, Kate at Babylune, Karen at Live the Power and Courtney at Courtney Tuttle. Consider yourselves Memed by Tracee Sioux at So Sioux Me and BlogFabulous.

The Carnival of Family Life was hosted by Be A Good Dad, which is great advice in itself.

It’s a great little piece about understanding, or getting a glimpse of, what goes on inside her PDD (autistic spectrum disorder) son’s mind.

Lori Radun, CEC presents Finding Peace in Letting Go posted at The Mom Coach. It reminds me of how annoyed I was when Ainsley got stuck on defense the whole soccer season. Who knew I would care so much?

The other carnival worth getting into is Law of Attraction hosted by my friend Karen over at Live the Power.

I may not have shared this at Blog Fabulous but after The Secret aired on Oprah I totally got into this idea that we attract what we want in our lives through our thoughts. I wrote a column about how it effected me on So Sioux Me, which is featured in this carnival.

If you keep having a life you don’t really want, but maybe you don’t know what to do about it – this carnival is a good place to start.

This is a great quote from John Crenshaw’s article The One Idea That Took 23 Years To Understand And Changed My Life ForeverDominate Your Life.

You see, self-doubt is a hereditary disease, it’s an airborne contagion that sucks the life out of otherwise intelligent people and relegates them to a life of mediocrity. It’s passed on by the people who fill your life and, especially, by your parents.

I like these questions, IF having money is important to me and if I don’t have the amount I want, what is this telling me about myself, my relationship with my higher self and my connection to The All? Where am I not feeling worthy? Why would I create lack….what are those beliefs? Why would I hold myself back from the life I want and envision? What am I afraid of? featured on My Spiritual Secret Dance in an article called Money and Flow. She says she uses money as a barometer of her success.

The Daily Positive submission is about letting go of ego. He realizes that he can change his emotions because he created them and it reminds me of my own realization about self-righteous anger and putting that in check.

Okay, so read up on the carnivals. You will definately learn something!
