Remember what I wrote about diet soda last week. Well, I have found that at least 2 of my fellow bloggers here at b5 media’s science and health channel have had something to say about the subject as well. While their info might not be directed towards diabetics, it is worth having a peek at.
Kristen at Lively Women offers up how diet soda is not exactly the best choice for anyone. She is totally grossed out by all the findings that link the lovely little calorie free brown beverage to heart disease and other health issues.

And then Sara at Healthbolt blasted diet soda last week as well. She even went on to describe that diet soda changes your DNA and could cause you to gain more weight then regular soda. Hmm… I don’t get all of it, but it is worth checking out!

With all of the new research that goes along with diet soda, will you cut your consumption of the bubbly, yummy beverage? It is still a tough call for me. Is it the caffeine, the fake sweetener or just the soda itself? Because diet iced tea will have the artificial sweetener and in some cases the caffeine, so who knows! I already drink about 20 glasses of water a day, but I need a change every once in a while. And I am not going to lie, I love the way diet Coke, especially fountain diet, feels in my mouth and how it gives me that mid afternoon pick me up. How ’bout you?
