But I’m feeling a little sorry for the lass-of-few-undergarments today.

See, she swept the VMA awards last night.  (An event about which I was blissfully ignorant until today.)  And everyone loves her… but not really because she is singing any better than she was last year. 

No, the reason the media is practically having orgasms over the mere mention of her name is because she LOOKS good… BETTER, in fact, at least in their eyes. 

See, she LOST WEIGHT.  She got a trainer.  She stopped eating, supposedly in a “healthy” way (yeah, right… we’ve heard that from starlets before.)

She’s not jiggly.  And that just makes reporters around the world giddy.

I can hear you.  “Okay, okay… but so what?  Leave her alone.  She deserves to be happy.”

Right.

Well, let’s think about what this Brit Love Fest says to a ‘tween or teen gal:

• You’re SCUM if you’re even a tad bit out of shape.  The media (i.e. everyone) will berate you.
• You’re A STAR if you diet and exercise so you can look great in a bikini.  A hot, wonderful, no-one-can-touch-you star.

Anyone else see a problem here?
