Have you done your research on some of the most famous Olympic athletes?

Greg Louganis was adopted in 1960 by Peter and Frances Louganis. He competed in the 1976 Olympics (winning a silver medal) and the 1984 Olympics (winning the gold medal in the platform and the springboard). In 1988 he won gold again in the platform and springboard dive.  

At age 24 he became the first man in 56 years to win two gold medals in diving. He is also a six time World Champion and has 47 National Championship titles.

He speaks for many organizations including drug and alcohol groups and organizations for the dyslexic.

In 1994 Louganis announced that he is gay and in 1995 he revealed that he was HIV positive.  The announcement caused some controversy because of his injury during the 1988 Olympics.
