There are times when you can’t just “wing it” when you’re trying to re-work or resize a pattern. You can end up with wonky shoulders & necklines or funny bulges – not good!

I’ve used paint to decorate my clothing (yes, on purpose – I didn’t just splatter myself and even to enhance intricately pieced & quilted jackets.  There are lots of products on the market specifically made to paint on fabric, but as long as you use a fabric medium, any acrylic paint will do!

I’ve been hankering after a warm wrap or shawl that I could wear out in the evenings if I don’t want to deal with a full coat.  I didn’t have anything in my stash that would work for it, so I just kept that wish in the back of my mind.
