Just in case you needed more inspiration to pick up your paintbrush and decorate your own clothing…
Designer Vivenne Westwood has teamed up with a group of grade two and three students to create her latest collection of hand-painted garments!
I’ve used paint to decorate my clothing (yes, on purpose – I didn’t just splatter myself and even to enhance intricately pieced & quilted jackets. There are lots of products on the market specifically made to paint on fabric, but as long as you use a fabric medium, any acrylic paint will do!

I’ve been hankering after a warm wrap or shawl that I could wear out in the evenings if I don’t want to deal with a full coat. I didn’t have anything in my stash that would work for it, so I just kept that wish in the back of my mind.
During the big New Year’s day sale at my favorite fabric store, I found some different wool blends in the bargain bins. They originally came in at $20 – $30 per yard and were now marked down to $4 or $5 per yard.
