1st Toastmaster’s 1st Place – Bold Moves

So, I L-O-V-E-D speaking at BlogHer in July. (Ask again, please!) It really awakened the idea that public speaking is something I’m naturally good at and would like to pursue.
Then I’ve gotten good feedback about my performance and that’s built my confidence.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to public speaking events and felt and urge to have the podium for myself.

Free Career Workshop

Marcus Buckingham is a leading career counselor and he’s offering a FREE career workshop to help people take charge of their work-life balance.

I’ve taken the first 4 courses, watching 15-20 minutes of a classroom lecture and then filling in a workbook about your own career realities and goals.

I’ve found his perspective to be refreshing.

One of his better points is how we tend to let others try to teach us about our strengths and weaknesses though we are our own best teachers.
