Looking for a foodie-focused weekend? Look no further than the Big Apple, and The Gourmet Institute to be held October 23rd – 25th, 2009. Organized by Gourmet Magazine (which publishes some serious food porn), the institute offers a diverse assortment of culinary demonstrations, discussions and tastings. NBC-TV is running promotional spots for the new season of The Ellen DeGenerous Show. Ellen’s bit this time around is “The Life List” and she’s asked viewers to submit their list of things they want to do or have happen with their lives.

Fabulous Dinner.
I am a self-described foodie and Food Network junkie. I have special affection toward chefs Bobby Flay and Mario Batali.
Recently, I’ve been following Ina Garten, pretty closely. The other night I made her “Perfect Chicken” recipie…and let me tell you…utter heaven. I am not really a big fan of chicken, especially, the wretched boneless, skinless variety. But this recipe calls for a whole chicken, glorious skin still on.
Make this dish for Sunday supper and take leftovers to work with you on Monday, you will wish you made two birds:
