Rep. Mark Buesgens introduced legislation last month to regulate hair transplant facilities. (source) Here’s the official scoop on the proposed legislation. It sounds like a health inspector specifically for “hair transplant surgery facilities.”
Balding Blog has commentary suggesting this isn’t necessary; medical doctors are already bound by a code of ethics and license to practice regulations. I’m guessing, however, that Rep. Buesgens has identified some gap in regulatory oversight. (Though judging by his photo I doubt this knowledge was gained first hand.)
