Minnesota Rep Wants to Regulate Hair Transplant Facilities

]]> Rep. Mark Buesgens introduced legislation last month to regulate hair transplant facilities. (source) Here’s the official scoop on the proposed legislation. It sounds like a health inspector specifically for “hair transplant surgery facilities.”

Rep. Mark Buesgens - Not BaldBalding Blog has commentary suggesting this isn’t necessary; medical doctors are already bound by a code of ethics and license to practice regulations. I’m guessing, however, that Rep. Buesgens has identified some gap in regulatory oversight. (Though judging by his photo I doubt this knowledge was gained first hand.) Perhaps there are practitioners not covered by the existing regulations. I’m generally for oversight of this nature, but I hope he’s not making a mountain out of a molehill. I’ve contacted him, so let’s see if he has any further comment.
