There are pros and cons – the list, Green Tweets: 75+ Environmentalists to Follow on Twitter, is at Mashable, so yeah, they posted a ton of green tweets; 75+ in all.

A major con is it seems like it was written by someone who never actually tweets on eco-topics. Maybe this person does, but I’m guessing not from all the very cool eco-tweeters left off the list and all the eco-tweeters listed who have [...]
Post from: Blisstree

You may remember that last month I posted My Top Green Twitter Folks to Follow. I recently saw another list sort of like mine but WAY larger. There are pros and cons – the list, Green Tweets: 75+ Environmentalists to Follow on Twitter, is at Mashable, so yeah, they posted a ton of green tweets; 75+ in all.

A major con is it seems like it was written by someone who never actually tweets on eco-topics. Maybe this person does, but I’m guessing not from all the very cool eco-tweeters left off the list and all the eco-tweeters listed who have under 500 tweets – I don’t know about you but I sort of gage my fave tweets by their tweet productivitiy. To me, 200 tweets doesn’t make someone one of the best green tweets to follow.

Ok, ending my rant now. The list is still worth checking out and here’s why. While the individual green tweet list needed some work, the green organizations to follow are cool. PLUS some odd 130 folks got on and left comments akin to, “You left so and so off the list” and filled in the blanks with some good picks in my opinion. See the post.

Now in MUCH better post news, I recently saw what may be the best eco-web post I’ve ever seen – 100 of the Most Essential Green Web Resources. The post, at Web Ecoist is totally amazing, and I spent far too long over there today checking out sites, clicking links, and so on. Unlike the Mashable post I actually agreed with all the major green picks in this series – this blogger knows their green inside and out.

The post is broken up into four parts:

25 of the Best Green Blogs and News Websites

25 of the Best Green Agencies and Organizations Online

25 of the Best Green Forums and Social Media Websites

25 of the Best Green Web Tools, Applications and Resources

I follow green web news, sites, and blogs fairly carefully but even so I picked up tons of new info within the links offered in this four part series. Very impressive and a must read for web lovin’ tree huggers everywhere.
