Find True Love on Your iPhone

You can now find love right from your sexy touchscreen phone!
For those of you who are as tech savvy as you are love unsavvy, there’s a new Match.com application for iPhone and iPod touch.
It’s basically the same as the company’s web site, and lets Match.com members edit their profile fand upload photos to their profile.
But the wackiest part? Taking full advantage of the built-in location-based technology, the application has an opt-in feature that gives members the ability to check out other singles in their area, making setting up a first date easy.
Hello, blind date. Sort of. Would that even be …read more

Image by d70focus via FlickrBegging and pleading, please answer the poll in the sidebar?
I’ll close out the poll on November 1st, but I’d really love your feedback on this. I’m personally partial to Yahoo! Personals and POF, but would love to see your choices, and then your comments in the post below as to what you chose and why!

Image by d70focus via FlickrOkay, so here’s a nice, neat little list of things that annoy me about some of the dating profiles I see on sites like PlentyOfFish and Match and Yahoo! Personals.

No photos. Bad photos. Photos only of a car with some figure standing by it that I can’t see. Photos of a man parasailing, with his body a shadow against the summer sun. Worse? A photo of you with another woman, and I don’t care if it’s your sister or cousin. I don’t care if you’ve cut her out of the pic, either. The bottom line guys …read more

What Would You Do: Make the Match or Not?

I’m not setting them up to go on a blind date. I’m not even giving out contact information to hook them up! I’m simply opening up an opportunity, or bridging the gap if you may, for them to get to know one another. I just want them to see the possibilities I’m seeing!
Okay. I’m sounding overly defensive about what I’m about to do, er, at least the other half of ‘the plan’ but I know you guys will say, “here goes Sasha again with her meddling in our people’s dating life” Eeep. I just want my single friends …read more

Multi-dating: Dating more than one person

This is the opposite of exclusivity in dating. More people means more options. Options equates to a higher probability of finding the right match. Uh, or is it?
I guess that’s what dating is actually for — options. It creates an ideal scenario wherein you get to try out something until you find that one thing that suits you best.
However, it doesn’t always work out that way, right?
I’ve never been in a situation wherein I’m actively “seeing” several people at one time. More often than not, I always end up seeing just one person and that’s that. I’ll find out after …read more
