If you dislike the idea of drilling holes in your wall to mount a flat-panel TV, then Crate & Barrel has a solution for you. The Loop Media Collection has a plasma panel for wall-free installation with slots in the side for storing up to 48 DVDs. Multi-purpose furniture items are always nice.
I haven’t purchased a flat-panel TV. My old set still works fine, but it’s nice to know that furniture designers are adapting to newer technology. I can’t imagine what might come next in TV models, but if floating TVs are ever invented, something like this would become obsolete! …read more

Online dumpster diving is a bit neater, isn’t it?
At the ground level we’re walking into tin can pincushion from Derek and Lauren at Design Sponge. They repurposed kitty’s tuna can into a neat pincushion.
Going up to the second floor of the junk house, we have how to turn broken speakers into a snappy media cabinet from ReadyMade + Instructables.
Time for a craft break of sorts. Look at this Sad Sack post from Angelica at Swapatorium. You might get a few good ideas or at least a laugh.
Up on the fourth floor, make a cork trivet with apartment therapy.
