A study on 161,808 postmenopausal women and multivitamins was carried out in Chicago. The study found that multivitamin did nothing to prevent cancer or heart disease.
The findings were that vitamin users and nonusers still had cancer and heart disease problems.
The researchers are not saying that the vitamins are not useful, but they should be used along with fresh fruits and vegetables. We all know that by eating fresh fruits and vegetables we are more likely to have the proper amount of vitamins in our daily diet.

As we get older we are less likely to throw things away. This was a great problem with my mother, if she couldn’t use something well maybe someone else could.
I remember going into her medicine chest to get an aspirin and all of these bottles fell out, scary isn’t it?
Upon looking at her medications, I found that some were outdated others written by different doctors, they were also purchased at different pharmacies.

Fosamax Causes Irregular Heartbeat

Women with osteoporosis, that are taking or have taken Fosamax, should ask their health care provider about an alternative treatment.
Patient’s that are taking or have taken Fosamax are twice as likely to develop an irregular heartbeat. The risk is higher for those that have a family history of heart failure.
There is an 86% higher risk for atrial fibrillation, for patient’s that have taken Fosamax. A study at University of Washington found that 3% of the women in their study of new cases of atrial fibrillation may be due to their use of the drug Fosamax.

As I was watching the ol’ boob tube, that means television to any not familiar with American slang, and I saw a commercial for a new combination medicine. Caduet. It is a mix of Norvasc and Lipitor. Death Among Heart Failure Patients Has Halved Over Last 6 Years

Thanks to more effective medicines and treatments, death among heart failure patients has halved over the last 6 years. Also, incidence of stroke and heart attack after discharge fell over the first half of this decade.
— The death rate for patients admitted with a severe heart attack, where the arteries are completely blocked, went down from 8.4 to 4.5 per cent.

Young Matt Scott (and I say young because he is about a decade younger than me *sob*) is here with us today trying to figure out what the heck is in his medicine chest.
