Teton Trek Now Open at the Memphis Zoo

If you’ve been wanting to visit the Memphis Zoo, now you have yet another reason to make the trip — Teton Trek, featuring a grizzly bear family, grey wolves, elk, sandhill cranes and trumpeter swans. The exhibit opened on October 10.
Pictured above, an elk statue in the Old Faithful Entry Plaza. The plaza is enlivened by a 25-foot geyser, shown in the background. The Great Lodge (pictured below) features a large fireplace, interactive displays, and an upper mezzanine providing nice views of the exhibit with rocking chairs for relaxing. Teton Trek to Open this Fall

A new four-acre exhibit inside the top-rated Memphis Zoo in Tennessee will open this fall. Donated in part by the Fred and Diane Smith family, Teton Trek will showcase the wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Animals featured in the exhibit include grizzly bears, elk, Timber wolves, arctic waterfowl, trumpeter swans and sandhill cranes. The image below is a rendering of Old Faithful Entry Plaza, featuring a 25-foot geyser and Great Lodge, replicated from the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park.
