How many different species do you eat?
One of the dietary recommendations in Michael Pollan’s recent article Unhappy Meals is to “eat like an omnivore.” While he’s not convincing me to reintroduce meat into my diet, the idea of eating a variety of foods in order to better cover nutritional needs seems to make sense to me. I do take a daily vitamin just to make sure I’m covering the basics, but I’d prefer to get as much of my nutritional needs as possible via whole foods, instead.

Becoming vegetarian: a different take on the beginner’s guide
I found this Beginner’s Guide to Vegetarianism interesting because it offers some very different advice from what you find in most ‘going vegetarian’ guides. I’m not sure I agree with some of the suggestions, but hey, different things work for different people. There are so many different ways to eat vegetarian, so of course there are a lot of different ways that people approach this diet choice.
