Women Crucial to Healthcare

Michelle Obama commented in a recent speech that women are the key to healthcare. What she meant was that women are the ones that make the appointments, choose the doctors, decide when to take family to the doctor, and even to some extent which procedures might be done. Women deal with the “business” of keeping their family healthy. That includes making decisions based on money and the family budget when it comes to going to the doctor.

White House Garden Replica

Inspired by the First Family’s decision to plant a vegetable garden at The White House, W. Atlee Burpee & Co. (Burpee) recently decided to cultivate the company’s very own version of the White House Garden at Fordhook Farm in Doylestown, PA, where Burpee trials most of the vegetables and flowers it sells.

Tiptoe through the White House Garden

The Obamas have broken ground on their new White House garden and you can take a look, thanks to a new interactive Web tool designed by PlanGarden.
The White House vegetable garden is irregularly-shaped. The online version utilizes a new rotate feature to recreate even the stepping stones and non-square edges of the garden beds. The round edges were done using the curve feature. Plangarden plans to maintain the garden views with up-to-date information as the garden plantings change throughout the year.

Michelle Obama gave a pretty good speech last night. I like her more now. Not that I disliked her before, but you know my loyalties with Hillary and all that.

I’m proud of my country because we can admit that we were tragically WRONG for participating in slavery and bigotry and that it still carries consequences to this day.
