Overweight and Trying to Get Pregnant?

I have talked a lot lately about hormone imbalances and how they contribute to weight gain, but I haven’t mentioned much about the same being true in reverse. Yet, you can throw your hormones off balance by losing or gaining too much weight.
I’m not a medical professional, but look at these two facts:
Severely underweight individuals will often stop menstruating altogether.
Overweight individuals have higher rates of thyroid disorder, diabetes, infertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS.

In honor of my youngest daughter’s 5th birthday today, I wanted to talk a little about losing the baby fat. For some, especially celebrities, it seems to be easy to do. I, on the other hand, have never understood how to go from looking like I’m carrying an overgrown watermelon to looking like a fitness instructor within mere weeks.
