I was never nauseous when I was pregnant. Not one day. Not even before Truman, when that blighted ovum sat in my uterus fooling me by placing a plus-sign on my pee stick. But I thought about it. Morning Sickness Linked to Baby IQ

Morning sickness could be a good thing, though some pregnant women may roll their eyes at that statement.
A small study of 121 children in Canada found that kids whose mothers suffered morning sickness scored higher (on average) on some tests of IQ, memory and language. The same held true even if the mothers took the morning-sickness drug diclectin.
The findings are reported in the July issue of Journal of Pediatrics. The lead researcher is Dr. Irena Nulman from the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

The “tooth” about bulimia

I must preface this by saying that I’ve only tangoed with Ana, not with Mia; however, this morning I got a small taste of what life is probably like for bulimics.
I went to the dentist and discovered that my constant morning sickness (from five years ago) was enough to start decay in a couple of my teeth. Now, half a decade later, two of my teeth are headed for filling-land. Though I can’t prove it was my many months of vomiting that did it, I’ve been told by several professionals that it’s highly likely.
