How Does One “Get” a Baby?
I hear it all the time…in fact I say it.
“We’re getting a baby.” It’s weird saying it but sometimes it seems so much easier to say than”we’re adopting a baby”.
But is it PC?

My family is already multi-racial. We are Korean, Indian, and Russian (although Caucasian), and Caucasian.
When we completed our domestic adoption assessment there was no question about race. How could we say no?

Madonna will appear in court next month for a review of her Malawian adoption…five months earlier than expected. Apparently she and Guy Ritchie have completed their home study and will travel to Malawi to complete the adoption before the proposed 18 months.
Seven Things, Day Five
I’m scared of cancer.
My mother was diagnosed with Colon Cancer several days after her 40th birthday. She had seen the signs of it on her actual birthday, May 9; the day before Mother’s Day and also the day before her father passed away. Can you imagine that? She had one child in middle school, one in second grade, and one in preschool and I remember her holding her composure so well.
