I wonder if a test has been done on Angry women? They would have to take out the PMS week for some of us.

I think it’s interesting that doctor’s would even think of doing this test. Did they know a few men who were overweight and mean and the idea just came to them?

They should do a test on men who have selective hearing and memories. That would be one that I would be very interested in. Maybe they would be thinner because they don’t let anything stress them.

Apparently quite a bit. If you have been around for the past couple of years you have heard that green tea is supposed to help you lose weight. I have seen different diets that say to drink it at night or during the day. It seems like overnight we went from not being able to find green tea on the shelves to having green tea everywhere. There is even green tea flavored water. I didn’t really like the taste of it, but when you are trying to lose weight, you will try a lot of things you don’t typically drink or eat. Perhaps that is why it hurts so bad when you find out that the information you have been given turns out to be not so accurate.

Enviga has been claiming that just by drinking it you burn calories. Turns out that is not the case. Enviga makers now have to put a disclaimer on the product saying that only diet and exercise help you lose weight. It would be nice if it was that easy but its really not. Diet and exercise is the only way to really lose weight and keep it off.

There are some things you can do to help jump start your weight loss. We all know that exercise can help reduce fat, but what we really need is to wrap our mind around is getting healthy. It’s almost easier to say that you are making changes to your diet than to say you are on a diet. As soon as you let it out that you are unable to eat things, you start to crave them.

We need to tell ourselves that we are eating healthier. Don’t focus on the diet part. Diets are very emotional because they are tied to what we would like to look like and what we currently look like. As soon as you slip, you begin to eat away at your self esteem. Eating healthier gives you room to make mistakes along the way. Eliminate a fat item or eat an extra fruit or vegetable each day and you are on your way to healthier eating.

Know what your signs are that could trigger eating something that you shouldn’t. With me, if I’m mad at my husband, I’m doing one of three things… cleaning, shopping or eating and sometimes I do all three. Knowing what your triggers are can help you put in place new things to do. I’m working on this.

Believing in yourself is also another way to help you get back on track. There will be plenty of people that cross your path that doubt you or that are the naysayers. Believe that you can do it and surround yourself with positive people so you can achieve your goals.

Did you know that rougly 80% of all Type 2 Diabetes cases can be prevented by changes in your diet and exercise? If you have Diabetes in your family as I do, you will want to make those changes before you are diagnosed with it. Increasing your activities can be as easy as taking the steps instead of the elevator, parking away from the building and walking. Increasing exercise by 30 minutes or more can turn your health around.

Eating better can be challenging but definitely worth it. You can begin slowly by omitting the second piece of pie or leaving some food on your plate. We were all raised to finish all of your food on your plate. Our moms said finish all of your food. That carries over to our adult life. If you can’t do that then prepare the plate with smaller portions.

I’m starting to dread Monday’s because of the weigh in. This time I felt really good about the weigh in. I can see some difference in my clothes but definitely not on the scale.
It remained the same.
Sometimes it is difficult to keep your momentum going because you want the scale to show the decrease as a reward for all of your hard work. Becoming more active and exercising improves your overall health. And losing weight will come but it will not be overnight. I can definitely relate to this fact.

I’m reminded that of course I didn’t put the weight on overnight. It was a gradual increase just like it should be a gradual decrease.

Next Monday will be better. I went to Zumba tonight and I did sweat like a pig. That’s got to count for something right?

I am doing my daily online reading when I came across a post talking about a female who went to the doctor about her weight loss and was told that her only option was to have gastric bypass. Now the article doesn’t begin to tell me how much she weighs or anything like that. I used to work with several people who went to the same doctor and were all told that they needed the gastric bypass. Now short of being morbidly obese at 400 pounds plus, why wouldn’t you be given the opportunity to try to lose the weight first.

Even some teens are being told that they need gastric bypass. Some of the have developed diabetes. I think when it’s medically necessary with the ‘current’ situation then it should be done. We seem to have become a society where we want it right now. I’m certainly guilty of wanting to wear my ’skinny’ clothes right now but I know in my mind that I didn’t put it on overnight and it will take time to get it off. That doesn’t even take into account cheating with eating foods that are not healthy.

To give you a snapshot of these ladies, my employer had about 400 people at that location on various shifts. These ladies all worked first shift and had the same doctor and all eight of them had gastric bypass. Now I can’t say that I’m for or against it, but please weigh out all of your options if that is on your agenda. Each one of those ladies had ‘complications’. Each of them had about 100 pounds to lose if you consider the charts that the doctor’s go by like a 5′5″ woman should weigh about 110 pounds. I would venture to say that most 5′5″ women weigh more than that or is it me that snaps up all of the 14 regulars from the store?

One of the ladies cannot work again. I was her supervisor and at first I thought she was playing. Her system is so screwed up that she cannot drive let alone work at a job. Most of the other ladies have had additional surgeries to repair problems.

Be very careful if a doctor says to you that gastric bypass is your only option. Make sure you have explored other options like diet and exercise first. It may not come off quickly, but you will be much healthier for it. Is it worth it to potentially have complications? Only you can decide that.

Oh Magic Eight Ball, did I lose weight this week?
I should be happy but I’m not. I lost 2 pounds last week. I know that healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week and that I’m on the higher end of that so that’s great right? I even exercised twice doing Zumba and sweat like a pig while doing it. That should count for something.
I do feel better and I have more energy just from eating better and exercising. I’m not a Jane Fonda yet (showing age) but I can work out 2-3 times per week without dying. [...]
Post from: Blisstree

Oh Magic Eight Ball, did I lose weight this week?

I should be happy but I’m not. I lost 2 pounds last week. I know that healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week and that I’m on the higher end of that so that’s great right? I even exercised twice doing Zumba and sweat like a pig while doing it. That should count for something.

I do feel better and I have more energy just from eating better and exercising. I’m not a Jane Fonda yet (showing age) but I can work out 2-3 times per week without dying. I have proven it already.

So when the scale doesn’t really say what you think it should, remember that it could always be worse and I know that personally.

I was able to keep from weighing everyday this week. Yay me! That is an accomplishment in itself. The other thing I am working on is drinking more water. 64 ounces here I come. I’m about halfway there.

How did you do on your Monday weigh in? I even cheated a little bit and had a couple of cookies but for the most part everything else was good for me. I also did well with not eating off my children’s plates to not ‘waste’ food. All good very good!

So we continue on down our road. Make sure you weigh today. Even if you feel like you may have cheated a bit. We will get that line out to mark the sand again and begin from there. Don’t dwell on the past, put things in motion to do better in the future.
