Music’s soothing effects – and an iTunes give-away

According to a study published in 2006, listening to music can reduce chronic pain by more than 20%. They found that people who listened to music for an hour every day for a week reported improved physical and psychological symptoms compared to the control group.
The small study included 60 patients with a variety of painful condition who were divided into three groups of 20 each. One group was the control group and did not listen to music on a regular basis.
