There is no better way to stay fit than exercising with a friend. Friends help us to stay on track and also motivate us. Let your friend know about your exercise goals and it might help motivate her as well.

National Women’s Health Week

May 10-16th has been declared National Women’s Health Week. If you live in the Henry and Stark County, Illinois areas you can help celebrate by making a few changes for a better life. The Health Department says women should get at least “2 1/2 hours of moderate physical activity, 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous physical activity, or a combination of both each week.” In addition to exercise, women should eat more fruits and vegetables, get regular breast exams, and avoid risking behaviors like drug use and driving without a seat belt.

Stop by the Women’s Health Expo in Time for National Women’s Health Week

You have one more day to celebrate National Women’s Health Week.
Don’t feel like leaving the house today? Just stop by the Women’s Health Expo at Revolution Health. It’s kind of like an online health fair. Even better, Revolution Health will make a donation to an organization every time you click on its booth. Lots of good resources to choose from here – my first stops were the Society for Women’s Health Research and The Wellness Community.
Educate yourself, learn about exercise, nutrition and wellness and find some nurturing (our goals for May, remember?) all right here.
Who will you visit first?
