What causes Type 1 diabetes?
Wouldn’t we all like to know! Scientists are looking at every avenue to figure out what causes the disease. In doing so, they hope to find a cure.
One study is going to look at “200 newborns in Georgia and Florida with high-risk genes for type 1 diabetes will be enrolled over the next year in a long-term study to determine how genetics and environment cause the disease.”
The study will cost $10 million, and go for five years.
