I’ve watched this show for the last couple seasons, but this year I have to say I actually have really rooted for almost everyone on the show. There were one or two people who were really annoying (like the guy that rolled his eyes at the woman who was a home cook and not a chef) but for the most part those people were sent packing pretty early on.

The finale is tonight, and I really like what each contestant brings to the table. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if they both ended up getting a show of their own. Jeffrey Saad and Melissa d’Arabian are both extremely talented, and each would bring a different take to their own show. I’d like to see either of them win. How about you?

My favorite Next Food Network Star winner so far is Guy Fieri, he was my favorite during his season because he just seemed to have a colorful personality. He definitely didn’t disappoint.

I can’t wait to see who walks away with the prize this year, and to see if their show is a success for The Food Network. Check out the preview for the finale, then let me know who you think should win.

Are you still following The Next Food Network Star? I’m behind on my updates, it seems like I never get to watch the show on Sunday nights. I’m always catching up when they reshow it later in the week.

If you missed last weeks show, you can catch the highlights here:

The 4 finalists had two contests they had to compete in. One was working in front of the camera and improvising when something goes wrong. The contestants didn’t know they were going to be sabotaged ahead of time.

The contestants also had to develop a new dish using one of the fish on Red Lobster’s menu. The winning dish will be featured in Red Lobsters nationwide. I was excited when Jeffrey Saad’s wood-grilled fresh fish with spicy soy broth won the Red Lobster wood grilling contest. At this point he’s my favorite to win.

Image: Newscom

Chef LaDuke from Red Lobster was a guest judge on this weeks show, and helped pick the winning dish. You can watch behind the scenes footage that you didn’t see on the show, and see a video demonstration of Jeffrey Saad’s winning recipe at the Red Lobster website.

Like I said above, Jeffrey is my favorite, and really hope he makes it to the final two. Who’s your favorite of the final three? Which Next Food Network Star contestant would you like to see have their own show on The Food Network?

If you missed this weeks episode here’s a short preview of the episode. I wanted to post the recap, but it’s not up yet.

This next Sunday sounds interesting, Bobby Flay says they’re having a mid-term, and Rachael Ray will be appearing on the show. Six are left, I wonder who will go home next?

Do you have a favorite to win the Next Food Network Star? I don’t have a favorite yet, but there are a couple I hope stay for a couple more weeks.
