Want to meet Nick Jonas? Yeah, who doesn’t! Nick is an inspiration to so many people because of his courage in dealing with Type 1 Diabetes. Now, Bayer is teaming up with Nick to give diabetics kids a chance to meet the pop star and express some creativity besides.
Diabetics between ages 6 and 18 are encouraged to “15-30 second video that demonstrates their Simple Win in an artistic way. Nick Jonas Designs Diabetic Dog Tags

Nick Jonas and Bayer Diabetes Care have produced dog tags that feature a lyric from “A Little Bit Longer,” the song Nick wrote about his diabetes. Two versions of the dog tags are available: one for people who would like to support the cause and another specifically for people with diabetes. The dog tag for people with diabetes has the lyric on the front, but also has the word “diabetes” on the back to document their personal fight against the disease.

I know many of you out there are fans of Nick Jonas. Nick has inspired so many of us with diabetes simply by sharing his story and remaining so positive.
If you haven’t heard about Nick, I have a special treat for you. He played with his band The Jonas Brothers at the Diabetes Research Institute’s Carnival for a Cure a year ago in March. During the concert, he gave a short but beautiful speech about how his own diagnosis and how he feels about having diabetes. It is very moving and heartfelt.
