Naked Sushi: Banned in China, OK in Miami?

Naked Sushi: Banned in China, OK in Miami?

Miami restaurant Kung Fu Kitchen & Sushi is now offering a special where you can eat sushi off a naked human, if that’s what happens to float your boat. But be prepared to pay up: it will cost you and 15 of your friends about $500 to enjoy sashimi and sushi rolls off the nude body of a nubile Miami beach model. “Naked sushi” was banned in China in 2005, but apparently the state of Florida is ok with Kung Fu Kitchen’s new special, just as long as the restaurant follows all health codes. Women Get Naked To Raise Awareness: Human Trafficking Edition

Women Get Naked To Raise Awareness: Human Trafficking Edition

It was just a couple days ago that we talked about military wives stripping down to support a cause. I was so frustrated by their blatant use of sex to raise attention because I feel like their battle shouldn’t need it. They shouldn’t have to get naked for people to be aware of PTSD in the military.

Now, someone else is baring it all for their cause. No, we’re not back to PETA. This time it’s Jada Pinkett Smith. She’s getting nude in a music video to raise awareness about human trafficking. Once again, another important issue that shouldn’t need naked women to catch our attention. More »

Women Get Naked To Raise Awareness: PTSD In The Military Edition

Here at Blisstree, we’ve talked a whole lot about a certain organization’s use of naked women to stir controversy and thereby raise awareness for a cause. To be fair, they’ve given us a lot to talk about.

Now, another organization is taking a page out of PETA’s playbook and using naked women to gain attention for their cause. But I have to admit, I find this example so much more depressing than PETA’s blatant attempts to get press. This time, the women stripping down are military wives and their doing so to raise awareness about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. More »

Post-Mastectomy Woman Banned From Swimming Topless By Discriminatory Parks Dept.

The Seattle Parks and Recreation is refusing to let a breast cancer survivor swim topless in the city’s public pool–even though she has no breasts, she considers herself androgynous, and the city allows public nudity. It’s really a form of discrimination at its finest, proving once again, that our society is just overly obsessed with breasts–and doesn’t have a clue how to deal with women who don’t have them. Come On PETA, Do You Really Need A Porn Site To Get Attention For Animal Rights?

Come On PETA, Do You Really Need A Porn Site To Get Attention For Animal Rights?

Known for their racy, nude celebrity ads, PETA thinks they have found yet another way to get their animal-rights and vegan message across: a porn site. That’s right, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals doesn’t seem to give a hoot about the ethical treatment of people.

PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt told ABC that their new pornography site (peta.xxx) will feature “tantalizing” videos and photos that will lead viewers into animal rights messages. More »

Nudists Want You! (If You’re Not Too Old)

Nudists Want You! (If You're Not Too Old)

Some people say that getting naked is good for you, but according to the Wall Street Journal, it’s getting less and less popular, unless you’re really old. In a recent article, “Wearing Only a Smile, Nudists Seek Out the Young and the Naked,” the WSJ detailed the pending extinction of nudist resorts: Apparently, there just aren’t enough young people who like to get nude. While some young athletes are getting nude during their activity of choice (nude yoga, nude bike races, and nude runs are all popular ways to get active and clothing-free), nude leisure just doesn’t draw crowds like it used to, and some people would tell you that you’re missing out on some good stress relief.
