Steampunked St. Patrick’s Day Brooch

St Patrick’s Day Lucky Steampunk by Asphalt Queen (Amanda)
Amanda uses vintage watch parts to “steampunk” her creations. I think the old watch parts tend to modernize the jewelry. In cases where a vintage watch face is shown, a different effect is achieved: retro and romantic.

When Watch Faces Get Second Lives

I never wear a watch anymore. I’m guilty of just checking the time on my computer or cell phone.
Back when I did sport a watch, I always liked faces like this one. I want numbers, please. No dots or black faces or (gasp) digital watches.
Junk artist JewelsofLuxury (also reader Michelle here) has created some unique jewelry from old watch parts. You can check her stuff out at Etsy.
My favorite is the Ladies Elgin Antique Steel Watch Face Adjustable Ring. Of course, that’s why I pictured it here!
Would you wear old watch parts turned jewelry?
