Button Button Who’s Got The Button?

If you don’t have the button, maybe it’s time to stock up?
Fabric.com is holding a 30% off sale on their entire stock of notions – which means now is the perfect time to make sure your sewing shelf is filled up.

When notions are on sale, I like to go through my upcoming projects and make a list of what notions I’m going to need.  It’s handy to have notions ahead of time, especially if the pattern calls for something unusual.
Just click on the image to visit the sale.

Crafty Summer Fun For Kids

I recently stumbled across “The Curiosity Shoppe” and was immediately smitten!
I love online shops with unique craft supplies, and this one certainly qualifies

Their “craft room” has all sorts of nifty little goodies to keep your kids (and you!) occupied this summer.
How about a vintage flower loom?  Make a stitchable key ring?  Do you know your knots?
New projects for summer can keep your kids interested in more than just tv or video games – and they can also be a fun reward too.

Need to Stock Up on Your Notions?

It seems like there is always some kind of sewing notion that I need to pick up.  I don’t like using notions that aren’t the correct one for my project if I can possibly help it.  But it does mean that I don’t always have the exact one I need…
A particular size of sewing needle?
How about the exact shade and style of thread for a project?
Zippers – oh my goodness, I can’t think of all the times that I’ve needed a different length or color!
Fabric.com wants to help you stock up on notions – in fact, you can save 20% …read more
