According to the teasers for today’s Oprah the first Why Do Men Cheat? show didn’t go over that great because it let men off.

Gist of the show – “Men are lonely because they are basically emotionally retarded and the only communication they understand is sex, so wives should do it more. Oh, and men always need to win.”

Duh.

Uh, here’s something to study: why women are sick to death of being married to it or dating it.

Trying to communicate with a husband is, at times for some women (not myself, of course), like beating your head against a brick wall and then realizing that 1/3 of the time it’s a futile effort and he’ll cheat anyway. Oh, and he’s sure to lie about it too.

However, I think Gary Neuman is a very insightful guy and I think it was a matter of translation. I thought his shows on divorce last year were the best shows ever and I doubt he meant for the cheating issue to come off as simplistically as it did.

I doubt he meant to make men look quite as emotionally retarded as we sometimes think they are. Please God, tell me they aren’t that emotionally retarded and we’ve been letting THEM rule the world. Please.

I can’t wait to watch this afternoon so I can find out what he really meant to say.

He’s going to give us 3 ways to Affair Proof Your Marriage:

My guesses?

1. Do IT more.

2. Never complain, require nothing emotionally.

3. Stroke his Ego.

Anyone else have guesses?

There is a vile and heinous epidemic of child pornography across this country.
I can’t tell you how disturbing the first part of yesterday’s Oprah was to watch. I truly hate when I have to know about – and therefore can’t stop thinking about – evil things involving our children, sex and violence.

It makes me want to pack up my children and lock ourselves in our house and stop talking to everyone because sickos are out there being ever more sickening sickos and looking like my kid’s soccer coach or our family friend.

Yes, they are getting sicker than they were last year and they will have to get sicker next year or they won’t be able to get off anymore. The only solution is to send them to prison for the duration of their sick lives.

In 2007, law enforcement identified over 300,000 computers in the United States trafficking in movies and images of children being raped, tortured and abused. Police say that at least 1 in 3 child pornography possessors has a local child victim.

Oprah called mothers and fathers to swift political action to protect our young.

Here’s the thing. Everything child pornographers and violent rapists are doing is against existing law.

Law enforcement even knows where they many of them are because they have the technology to hunt them down and arrest them.

But law enforcement has no money to do it. Only 2% of child predators are being investigated due to lack of resources.

Swarm Congress with letters and phone calls telling them they MUST pass the PROTECT Our Children ACT, Senate Bill 1738 sponsored by Joe Biden (D) and Orin Hatch (R).

The ACT would dedicate $1 Billion to:

* Authorize over $320 million over the next five years in desperately needed funding for law enforcement to investigate child exploitation.

* Mandate that child rescue be a top priority for law enforcement receiving federal funding.

* Allocate funds for high-tech computer software that can track down Internet predators.

Some things are worth paying taxes for – stopping the wide-spread participation in child “rape on demand” for the purposes of child pornography is one of those things.

I don’t know why they DO cheat, but I seriously doubt its because his wife doesn’t do it enough or make life exciting enough for him.
I’ll bet you anything M. Gary Nueman, comes on Oprah and tells us that there is something going on in the MEN, not necessarily the marriage, that makes them cheat.
Download Neuman’s book on Oprah for FREE until Friday at 7PM Pacific.

It really annoys me that people will underestimate or dismiss Oprah.

When you underestimate Oprah, you underestimate women.

You underestimate women politically and underestimate women’s impact on the economy.

Go ahead men, roll your eyes when we say “I saw it on Oprah.” Do your “pshaw” minimizing all you want to. Discount women’s impact on the word at large.

Who do all companies want to hawk their product? How do you guarantee success of a book or product?

Oprah.

Think about this economically dependent housewife: there are two parts of our nation’s economy.

Making the money and spending the money.

Our nation’s economy is dependent on both.
