Last week, I tried to take a stab at some Resolutions for 2008 and as you may have noticed, I’ve already fallen short on a few (under promise; over deliver) when I promised you a book review and then made you wait not one but two days for it.
Sorry about that.
There are so many potentially exciting, life-changing things happening ’round here that I hesitate to make any more forward-looking resolutions for fear of jinxing.
So I won’t.

So I won’t.

I thought for a minute about giving YOU some suggested resolutions for optimizing your fertility in 2008, but a.) we’ve already been over a lot of that; b.) I know I hate it when anyone tells me what to do and c.) you might think I went to Harvard. And I didn’t.

Instead, I am going to do what my pal Daisy at Behind Schedule did. Instead of dwelling too much on my five resolutions (although I do intend to work on them), I’m taking a minute to find five things about me that I would like to celebrate. Here I go:

My life so far and the opportunities that I have been given/made

My sense of humor, which thankfully, has gotten kinder (and therefore, funny to people other than myself) over the years.

My friends – both real and bloggy – I feel that I have made so many this past year, and more importantly, fostered the ones that I already have, for that I would like to celebrate. I love you guys.

My mom used to get so mad at me because I refused to focus on anything negative or believe that things could negatively affect me. I like that about me. I feel badly now that I realize I had the same criticism for my husband when we first met. I called him naive. Now I see it more like a self-fulfilling prophecy. I like that.

My husband. Today I read the most wonderful tribute to the sometimes unsung heroes in all of this – our husbands. I really could not have said it better.

Now it’s your turn. Think about five things about yourself that are simply great. That you wouldn’t change for the world. That you like just the way you are.

If you feel like sharing, I would love to listen.
