Evaluating Your Needs

Before you even touch one item in the room you want to organize, you need to fill out an evaluation form. (This is all part of the planning stage.) This will really help you decide the purpose of the room and it will be easier to get rid of the items that are not helping you fulfill that purpose.

This is the hard part. Once you have planned, sorted and stored everything, it actually takes some discipline to keep it that way. Sorting the Clutter

This is the stage that takes the longest and where people tend to get stuck the most. What happend is, they decide they are going to organize their bedroom closet. They pull everything out, start trying to decide what to do with all the stuff piled on their bed, shock and awe hits when they realize how much stuff they had crammed in there, and then close the door and sleep on the couch.

Who Says a Trash Can Can’t Make You Smile?

I sure never did! In fact, I got a shiny new trash can for my birthday last year. It’s one of those stainless steel ones. Do you think getting a trash can as a birthday present is weird?
