<p>I can see where it would open up a whole can of worms for many reasons: can you mandate classroom involvement, how would the success be measured, what do teachers think about it, etc.</p>
<p>I am fortunate enough to have a somewhat flexible job, in that with some notice, I can usually arrange to be off for a school event. However, many people don&#8217;t have this flexibility, and, unfortunately, can be mistakenly labeled as &#8220;not involved&#8221; if they don&#8217;t spend time in the classroom.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not sure I can see it passing, but, I like that it gets people thinking that not everyone can be involved at their childrens&#8217; school during regular school hours.</p>
