Journal writing to help manage pain?

A few months ago, I wrote a post on Keeping a Pain Diary, providing a link to an example of one. Some people, however, prefer to keep journals. Is this something that you think may help you?
A journal about your pain doesn’t have to be all about pain in a bad sense. Some people may see it as whining on paper (or on computer), but it can be a way to describe how you feel on days when you don’t feel well and on days when you feel you’re conquering your pain or finding a balance.
