One of the latest entertainment activities for youngsters at parties consists of arts and crafts. Although I often used a variety of crafts at my daughter’s birthday parties years ago, I guess they’re considered a modern innovation.
What can we do to keep youngsters busy and entertained while they have fun, too?
Provide materials for a theme that goes along with the party.
Find arts and crafts suggestions and supplies at party stores or craft stores.
Perhaps a craft store in your area offers birthday party crafts in a special workroom set aside for this occasion.

What Age: Kids Attending Parties Alone?

Okay I’ve heard of kids getting those invitations for birthday parties and such at school. Normally mine go but one of us parents have normally stuck around until the end of the party. Course mom and dads, at least in the military basically hung out with the parents in the kitchen or living room until the mom/dad hosting the party let us know that it was time. Otherwise the kids were normally on their own or with certain parents doing games.

Valentine’s Memories in Alzheimer’s World

Valentine’s Day was a fun family day when I was a youngster because Mother made it so. She had been a school teacher and held parties for her students. Even though she was no longer taught after we four children were born (school districts were very reluctant to hire married teachers, particularly ones with children, in those days), she introduced us to many of the activities she’d enjoyed with her students. She also cooked special foods for Valentine’s Day, midst her busy day of mom and farm wife duties.
