We have patchwork in quilts, wall hangings, postcards, clothing, and mingled with mixed media art. I discovered something new today…..Patchwork Furniture.
For an interesting idea, check out Recycled Wood for Patchwork Furniture by Margaret Taylor at CubeMe. Her handmade furniture consists of pieces of boards found from old barns and homes combined with steel. The black, gray, beige and turquoise combinations are very attractive and unique.

Jen, at Domestik Goddess, comes across so many novel ideas for home decorating. The lastest is a Faux-Finish Concrete Carpet which she pictures with a patchwork design. As Jen asks, “Why not stencil the concrete to look like a luxurious carpet?” Thus you’re eliminating the bare concrete floor look.
She provides instructions and resources so you can have yourself a faux carpet. If you’re a quilter, you can add a patchwork design!
