US Flag Day – Flag Etiquette

June 14 is Flag Day in the United States. This holiday, started in 1949, celebrates the adoption of the “Stars and Stripes” as the official flag on the United States on June 14, 1777.
Flag Day is marked by parades and by the displaying of the flag. Before you get yours out, brush up on your flag etiquette by reading the US Flag Code below:

The flag should be lighted at all times, either by sunlight or by an appropriate light source.
