It might not be something everyone likes to talk about in public, well, no one I know at least, but the subject of sex is a good one to pursue in your journal. Natalie Goldberg mentions this topic in her book Writing Down the Bones. Don’t be afraid to write about such things in your journal. You may find it a liberating experience. Try writing in response to these prompts:
What makes you feel sexy?
What part of your body do you think is sexy?
Describe what sex is like; try to use metaphors and other descriptive language.
What language do you use when …read more

I’m sure those of us who keep a journal are aware of many areas in our lives we’d like to change. Make a list, if you like. Select just one thing from this list. If you could change one thing from this list, what would it be? How would this make your life different? Is it worth pursuing this change? What would you lose out on? What would you gain? How would you go about making this change? Create a ten step plan for making this change. Is the change possible? Will you make this change?

If you’ve anything like me you’ll have days where you just feel a bit sad. It could be hormonal or in response to certain events in your life, or just because. Sadness is one of those difficult to explain emotions. But I always make some effort to reveal the why of my feeling that way.

Joshua from Junk Creation has really put me in it. He decided to tag me with the Seven Oddball things about me meme. I’ll have to dig a bit deeper to come up with seven new things. But I suppose it helps that I’m a bit odd, anyway.
1. My three children are brunette, redhead, & blonde.
2. I’ve never broken any of my bones.
3. My eyes are green, brown or hazel depending on my mood or clothing.
4. I’m a self-confessed bookworm, but I only read nine books last year.
5. I have wildly curling hair.
6. I have five novels I need to …read more

I read an interesting news article on Yahoo on Tips For Simplifying Your Life, which inspired a need to write my own list. What about you? List six ways you could simplify your life right now. Perhaps create your list and then read the article. That way you won’t be influenced by the tips already there and can write a list relevant to what you need.

Thanks to Gayla I now have my blogroll showing again. All those blogs I love to visit are now showing on the right hand side of this entry. You may need to scroll down a bit to find the list. While you’re there you might like to check out the newest addition to my blogroll; Shai Coggins. I’ve mentioned Shai before, but there’s always stacks of inspiring stuff over there. Some recent entries include 7 from 07 & Web Wednesdays. There’s loads of other stuff you can use in your journals or on your blogs, too.
