While doing a bit of reading today, I found a link to Catherine Larose’s Cafe Girl Chronicles blog, by way of an excerpt at the More magazine website. More magazine is aimed at the 40+ age female. I can remember when 40 seemed sort of old to me, then Cher got there and it didn’t seem so old anymore. How could 40 be old when it meant she was able to dress in basically ass-baring outfits on-stage and she lived with a much younger man (they called him “the bagel boy” in the press)?

Your baby just smeared peanut butter all over himself. Your toddler accidentally knocked over the trash. Your tween used your hair dye to give the dog some color. Your teen has just come home with a pierced nose. Your husband has just come home and is asking what’s for dinner. A single item hasn’t been crossed out in your to-do list. Oh, and you forgot to pay the bills.

Flexibility and Perspective – Two Tricks To Improve Your Relationship

There are a few tricks that I’ve learned over the years to help me when I’m feeling frustrated with work or home life. Two that I use fairly frequently are flexibility and perspective. Sure, I take a stand when necessary, but I’ve found that going with the flow, not trying to run every situation, works when I’m under pressure. If flexibility is not enough, then I flip things around until I get them in a workable position.
