International Homeless Animals’ Day

This year marks the first time National Homeless Animals’ Day has been called International Homeless Animals’ Day. The founders, ISAR, changed the name to recognize the global participation in the crusade to raise awareness about the serious problem of pet overpopulation.
International Homeless Animals’ Day will be observed on Saturday, August 15. It’s held on the third Saturday in August each year. The day calls on everyone to let their voices be heard: It’s time to stop the killing of homeless animals.
