<ol>
<li>Motel 6 – At the top of the list, this budget chain welcomes pets at every one of its 900 locations.  One pet per room, with no additional fee or deposit charged.</li>
<li>La Quinta Inns &amp; Suites – Pet are permitted at nearly all of its 650 properties, although animal size is limited to 45 pounds.  No deposits, fees, or charges for pet rooms.</li>
<li>Red Roof Inn – Over 340 pet friendly locations in 36 states, and no additional charges.  Check to make sure that your preferred location is one of them.</li>
<li>Best Western – This hotel chain, the largest in the world, boasts over 1,900 pet-friendly hotel.  Although located primarily in the United States and Canada, there are some pet-friendly international locations as well.  Chances are there’s one wherever you want to go.</li>
<li>Candlewood Suites – This extended-stay chain may be more like home than a hotel room, providing your pet a little more comfort room.  Pet up to 80 pounds can be accommodated.  There is a pet fee, however, and be sure to bring the vaccination records.</li>
</ol>
<p>Petside.com also provides a list of Honorable Mention hotel chains, including the number of properties that allow pets.  These hotels may charge fees (usually around $100) and/or deposits.</p>

<p>When making your reservations, make sure to double check the pet policy, and to be certain that there have been no changes in the fee and deposit policy.</p>
