New Pet Community: Paw Print Post

USA TODAY is showing its pet-loving side with a new online community, Paw Print Post.
The site just launched on August 13, and it looks to be a fun place for dog and cat lovers. It features pet forums, as well as the ability to upload photos to be shared. Paw Print Post is moderated by pet lover Janice Lloyd, described as having the “work ethic of a Border Collie” and “gentle eyes of a Dachshund.”

Paw Print Post will also feature regular content from columnist Sharon Peters and columnist Dr. Patty Khoury of Dolittler.com.

October is National Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month and anyone looking to adopt a furry family member is being encouraged by the ASPCA and PetFinder.com to head to your local shelter.
This year has had an extreme impact on shelters across the nation as pets have become victims of the housing market crash, the spiraling economy and Mother Nature. There are currently more than 140,000 dogs listed on PetFinder.com, and over 300,000 adoptable pets total.
My family had a great experience with PetFinder when we found and adopted our dog Honey four years ago. Be sure to check out their new dog breed …read more
