Finding Food Blogs Online

I’ve been a fan of food blogs for many years. I had started my own recipe website about eight years ago, and when blogs hit the scene I switched over to that method of updating since it tended to be a little faster.
Over the years as I got busier and the kids got older, the time that I spent on my site diminished and I ended up closing it down. However, since it’s infinitely easier to read others’ contributions rather than make your own, I’ve never lost my love of reading others’ food blogs!

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo was spotted cuddling her adorable black toy poodle Gigi at the airport yesterday.
Ellen, who is expecting her first child, has two beautiful toy poodles: Gigi above and a brown toy poodle named Valentino.
Toy poodles are very lively and active little dogs — Ellen and husband Chris Ivery will have their hands full in a few months!

It’s never hard to find one of our cats doing something cute — whether it’s sleeping in an odd position or in a weird place, or, in the case of Turbo:

Have you seen the Flickr stream of President Obama’s first 100 days in office? It’s a fun look at how the First Family’s lives have changed over the last three months. I love that the administration is embracing social technology like Flickr to let us have more of a peek at the Obama family!
Of course, there are pictures of new first pet, Bo! The Portuguese water dog is seen trotting into the Oval Office in the picture above from April 15th.
April 20th shows the President playing with Bo outside on the South Lawn at the White House.

I think it’s incredibly sweet how much actor Mickey Rourke adores his chihuahuas!
Sitting outside LAX on Monday waiting for his bags to arrive, The Wrestler actor took his little dog Jaws out of his carrier for some one-on-one cuddle time on the sidewalk.
Mickey and Jaws are also currently part of a PETA campaign for spaying and neutering, which can be seen on billboards around Los Angeles. The ads read “Have the cojones to fix your dog. When dogs get knocked up, puppies get put down because there aren’t enough homes for them.”

While chatting with a close friend recently, a topic made it’s way into our conversation about keeping old photos and memorabilia from previous relationships.
I’ve known many women who would become so jealous they’d sneak into a man’s belongings and purposely destroy anything that had to do with former girlfriends.
This sort of thing never seemed to bother me much – It’s always been my opinion that IF someone is an EX of my partner, they are history for a reason. Being that EX also means that person played some significant role in the person my partner had become. Right?

While reading one of my favorite advice columnists this morning, an interesting topic came up that I thought might be worthwhile to visit here on Dating Dames – just to get an all around perspective, of course.
Here’s the submitted question:
About a year ago I began a relationship that has really taken off. I’m mid-40s, she’s mid-30s. After a few months, the pictures displayed in her apartment of her with her ex started getting on my nerves. I understood these photos represented something in her life that brought her happiness, so I let it go. But finally I said it’d be …read more
