Have you ever heard of pleurisy? Before the summer of 1999, I had vaguely heard about it but I also thought it was one of those diseases or illnesses that people got generations ago, not now. That was until I got it. I call that time in my life the summer from you-know-where. I’d lost my job, we’d moved and were having major problems with selling our house (don’t ever believe someone has “private financing!”) and I was very sick.
